Through technical assistance, peer learning, mentorship, and practical resource development, the Practice Network Program supports organizations at different stages of AI adoption while building capacity that can extend beyond individual implementations

• Inaugural program: HAIP provided technical assistance directly to safety-net healthcare delivery organizations (HDOs) and learned what organizations need to adopt AI responsibly
• California program: HAIP is using those lessons to build AI implementation capacity within trusted state and regional safety-net networks, enabling those networks to support their own member organizations
• Long-term model: Build a distributed infrastructure for responsible AI adoption across the safety-net

Why the Practice Network Program?

AI is increasingly entering healthcare, but many safety-net HDOs face significant barriers to responsible adoption, including limited technical expertise, constrained resources, evolving governance requirements, and uncertainty about how to evaluate and implement AI tools
