Program Overview
The California Practice Network is a 12-month program from January–December 2027, designed to advance responsible and sustainable AI adoption across California’s safety-net. The program leverages existing trusted relationships within the safety-net community to build organizational capacity, accelerate AI adoption, and foster peer learning among participating organizations.
Participating organizations will recruit at least five member health centers or clinics, identify and prioritize two AI use cases, provide technical assistance to support AI implementation, and disseminate lessons learned, best practices, and implementation expertise related to prioritized AI use cases.
For this cohort, we will select a total of two HCCNs/RACs/state and regional consortia and up to fifteen health centers. Selected organization will receive a grant to compensate for the participation. Participation does not require data sharing or a formal contract.

Eligible organizations (HCCN, RAC, or state and regional consortia) must:
- Be based in the state of California.
- Serve at least 5 health centers that are interested and able to participate in the program.
- Collectively commit approximately 15 hours per month across the team to participate in program activities.
