This session featured an expert panel that helped participants shift from AI readiness to proactive management by sharing concrete strategies related to AI governance and tailoring role-specific AI polices within their organization. The panelists also discussed how to define ROI for AI tools and how to center staff well-being in AI adoption decisions.

Michelle Oden

Michelle Oden, MHI, BSN, PHN, RN, is an Electronic Health Record Support Analyst for Community-University Health Care Center, a federally-qualified health center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. With a background in healthcare informatics and clinical quality assurance, Michelle supports user training, clinical workflows, and quality improvement.

Andrew Hamilton

Andrew Hamilton, BSN, MS, FAAN serves as Chief Informatics Officer, he is responsible for developing clinical decision support and National Clinical Performance Measures into the organization’s EHR and is leading the organization’s efforts related to the development and implementation of an Enterprise Data Warehouse solution.
Prior to working for AllianceChicago, Andrew was a Pediatric Critical Care nurse and a member of a large academic hospital HIT team supporting the implementation of clinical information systems. He has also served as Director of Patient Care Services for Howard Brown Health Center, a Chicago-based Federally Qualified Health Center. Andrew is the Past President of the Board of the Centricity Healthcare User Group (CHUG), and is adjunct faculty at Loyola University School of Nursing and the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Nursing. He holds a BS in Nursing and an MS in Nursing Business and Health Systems Administration with a focus on Nursing Informatics, both from the University of Michigan School of Nursing.

Teresa Covarrubias Gonzalez

Teresa Covarrubias Gonzalez is an Administrative Fellow at Beacon Health System, supporting AI governance initiatives, Copilot training, and AI literacy, in addition to operational performance improvement and cross-functional initiatives across the system. She brings a strong background in innovation and technology strategy and holds a Master of Science in Engineering, Science, and Technology Entrepreneurship from the University of Notre Dame.
