Michael Draugelis

Mike Draugelis serves as the AVP of AI at Geisinger. With over 20 years of experience in technology leadership, innovation, and engineering, he currently leads the artificial intelligence strategy and innovation at Geisinger. His role focuses on creating products aimed at improving healthcare workflows, patient outcomes, patient experience, and optimizing administrative workflows

Previously, Mike has established AI health organizations at Penn Medicine and Hackensack Meridan Health. He led the development of AI health frameworks, formed AI product teams, and implemented dozens of AI-driven programs to enhance patient outcomes and clinical workflows.

Mike began his career as a software engineer and researcher at Lockheed Martin. He contributed to algorithm development for the GPS Satellite, Hubble Space Telescope, and Missile Defense programs. Mike ended his career at Lockheed Martin as their Chief Data Scientist, guiding AI research and business development in DoD, Cyber Security, Healthcare, and Air Traffic Control. Mike has patents in cyber security and healthcare AI systems.

Mike graduated with honors in Mathematics from Michigan State University.
